In all that we do we take a long term view developing skills and attitudes that will serve students well in their GCSE work as well as helping students get an understanding of how they learn and remember information.

We teach in groups in order to reduce the costs to parents but more importantly because it makes the sessions fun.

11+ (Year 5)

The 11+ course develops students’ skills in English, Maths, Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning so that they are fully prepared for the test and are developing secondary school approaches to schoolwork.  Vital to students’ success is developing time management, exam techniques and an understanding of the quirks of the 11+ papers.  In 2022 our reported success rate was 94% and the average overall score of 359 against a pass mark of 323.  All of this is achieve in sessions that students find challenging and enjoyable.

10+ (11+ development for Year 4)

The 10+ course accelerates student’s English and Mathematical abilities to expected in Year 5 whilst laying down an understanding of reasoning techniques.   It challenges students to tackle problems in ways that they would not normally have access to until Year 5/6 in school.  Our experience has shown that students who start this journey in Year 4 score higher in the 11+ test.

It is a flexible course that can be entered at any time but it is best to join by Easter to fully benefit.

Primary Support

We design personalised courses for individuals experiencing difficulties in school including those with additional needs. It is our aim to seek out issues to solve and build confidence by showing students alternative ways to success.

Secondary Support and GCSE Preparation

We also design personalised courses for secondary students ultimately leading to exam preparation and revision support.  Developing exam revision and techniques are central to this work. Our 2022 students all achieved at least their target grades and successfully moved to their chose next stage of their education.

Other Subjects and Objectives

We are, at times able to provide support in other subjects, such as GCSE German, or with older students for example adults looking to improve their Maths or English GCSE grades.
